Tattoo ideas for overcoming things?

I want a unique tattoo that has to do with with overcoming depression and learning to deal with lifes problems (Even though I know the problems never stop). I'm trying to think outside of the box and not go for the "cheesy" tattoos so any creative idea will help a lot! thanks
